Milan, Old Town. Friday, May 13th opens Escape, Lucio Forte and Laura Lapini duo exhibition at Artworks Gallery Milano in 8 Corridoni Srteet.
The two artists exhibit 40 paintings of small, medium and large-sized oil and mixed media on canvas, board and paper.
The work of Laura Lapini is characterized by a high prevalence of abstract works, elaborated through an artistic approach uninhibited and unconditional. This is the distinguishing feature of the poetics of the artist, an instinctive and harmonious gestures, because a direct expression, and not mediated, of the artist's sensibility in a pure sequence, defined as: soul-gesture-canvas.
Hence the result of an unconscious skill to realize elegant balancing about composition and color, large brush strokes, scratches and materiality that stand out for impact and involvement.
Emerge from the works of Lucio Forte, studies about light, dynamism and complexity, with clear references to a kind of meta-comic epic, technological and sciencefiction.
Escape is a form of liberation from social contingency, through the outburst, the imaginative journey that lead to paint the artworks themselves.
During the opening night, tasting of Piacenza wines presented by the farm Il Casello starting at 6pm and up to 9pm hours approximately.
The exhibition can be visited by appointment until the May 25th.
