About

Alex Duncans inspiration comes from looking at the natural world and responding to both its fragility and power. Through a variety of materials he creates work that has a hyper-realistic quality, leading the viewer to question what is real and what has been constructed. Duncan adopts the aesthetic of model-making or replicas as seen on film sets rather than in galleries. He works in sculpture, film and installation, moving from small scale works to ambitiously large pieces in which he creates a feeling that nature has reclaimed the space. This as a 'Test Bed' exhibition. Supporting new and experimental work by artists based in Wales and the Borders
