The inherent immediacy in the action of drawing, related to the caught scenes recorded in each image. The subject of viewing explored amongst the different works on show, whether it may be the motif of the observer, the artist or the auction house that is utilised.
About
Drawn Out Encounters is an exhibition of drawn works on non conventional supports, hung or directly attached to wall and window pane. Even the medium of dust gains a temporary permanence, within the variety of drawing mediums.
The inherent immediacy in the action of drawing, related to the caught scenes recorded in each image. The subject of viewing explored amongst the different works on show, whether it may be the motif of the observer, the artist or the auction house that is utilised.
The drawing as an idea, a concept, a suggestion, a note that could gain momentum or merely be happy to keeps its cursory form, repeats itself throughout the walls and windows of the gallery.
Enzo has been selected in recent years for the John Moores painting prize (2016, 2012), the Threadneedle prize (2016, 2013, 2012, 2010) the Creekside Open (2015, 2013) and the Zeitgeist Open (2015, 2014).
