About
NewGallery is pleased to present the forth exhibition in a series of six showcasing emerging abstract painters. Entities and Elements is a new body of work produced by South London based artist, Sam Pullen.Pullen is a current student at Camberwell College of Arts whose paintings illustrate a concern with the ongoing legacy of abstract painting. These highly formulaic, constructed paintings, which are produced with no manual gesture, still manage to contain a sense of honesty. There is an interesting contrast between the almost mechanical process and the sensitive nature of the resultant images.
