About
Becky Blair biography - www.beckyblairartist.co.uk
In the last 12 years her work has been exhibited regularly in the UK, and Australia, as well as group shows in France, and art fairs in UK, Europe and Asia. This current body of work takes it's inspiration from the desire to create simple spaces that are imbued with a sense of emotion. Using the subject of flowers to build intricate texture set against a fluid negative space composed of subtle glazing, the effect is of something old world whist still familiar to ones owns experience. Becky aspires to create imagery that has strength, but is equally fleeting and momentary; using colour and texture to render physical certain aspects that in real life are intangible.
About Lupus
Lupus is an incurable immune system illness, probably genetic in origin and mainly suffered by females. It can affect any part of the body. In lupus, the immune system produces far too many antibodies which, circulating through the bloodstream, cause reactions leading to inflammatory processes anywhere in the body.
