"Endless Karl"

London-based contemporary artist Endless will be exhibiting 12 one-of-a-kind personal works at Cris Contini Contemporary gallery as an ode to Karl Lagerfeld, following the launch of his first capsule collection in collaboration with the iconic fashion house on November the 7th.

This exhibition is a tribute to the extraordinary life of Karl Lagerfeld by Endless and each and every piece portrays a depiction of the many sides of the legendary icon, whose boundless talents were not limited to fashion alone. Karl is perhaps best recognised as the creative director of Chanel, Fendi and, of course, his own brand, but some may not know that he was an outstanding photographer and artist too. Endless wants to honour the full extent of Karl’s brilliance and this can be seen in many subtle ways throughout this body of works. 

"Endless Karl" exhibition is not the first time Endless’ work has featured Karl Lagerfeld. As early as 2015, Endless was including Lagerfeld in his street art recognizing his immense influence in fashion while also acknowledging Lagerfeld as a photographer and artist in his own right. After spotting Endless’ street art in Amsterdam, the Karl Lagerfeld team reached out to him, ensuing in a string of collaborations. Most notably, Endless immortalised Lagerfeld in a large-scale installation at Pitti Immagine Uomo SS20. Recently, Endless was one of 50 global talents to create a bespoke white shirt for the “Tribute to Karl Lagerfeld” project in September 2019.
