By enveloping the ideas of Elysium with the modern society, six cross-disciplinary 2nd year students from Camberwell College of Arts will be exhibiting their work at MMX Gallery on 1st - 3rd May. The artists include Matilda Mae Brewer, Binh Ha, Sue Nguyen, Amir Osman, Hoi Ling Tso and Meng Zhou.

About

Originated from Greek mythology, the terminology “Elysium” has been widely adapted by the arts, literature, religious and philosophical pursuits to depict how ideal afterlife should be. Although the Elysium was once exclusive to gods, it was later believed all the selected and righteous could go on this path as well.

But what about today?

When we have too many people on earth and the numbers are increasing rapidly, when there is too much pollution and we are refusing to believe in the science that could save our planet. When will earth reach breaking point?

Exhibiting works will include drawings, paintings and photographic work.
