With strong connections to the surrounding Welsh landscape, renowned artist, Eleri Mills has created a stunningly poetic collection of new & unseen artworks for her upcoming exhibition at Thackeray Gallery, Kensington.
About
With a repertoire of techniques, Eleri engages each painting with care, sharing a story full of colour and energy. Creating the artworks using gesso, paint, ink, charcoal, pastel and even hand stitching onto fabric; the layers flow, allowing the viewer to move through the landscape without boundaries.
“The land has always been there in my mind, beginning with a childhood helping on the farm. The passing on of the land from one generation to the next represents continuity and instills a deep sense of belonging.” Eleri Mills.
Over the years, Eleri Mills has received numerous awards. Most notably she was the winner of the Creative Wales Ambassador Award; Arts Council of Wales, which took her to New York, USA. She has also exhibited extensively in many mixed exhibitions around the world, to include: New York, Poland, France, Budapest, Madrid, Japan, Chicago, London and her native Wales. Eleri’s work can be seen in many Private, Public and Corporate Collections, including the V&A Museum, London.
