About
“Nature has many elements said Nicola Slattery, adding: “in my work I want to focus on the positive elements of nature, those which nourish and lift the spirits.”
It will be seven years since Nicola’s last solo show at Mandell’s Gallery, located at the top of Norwich’s historic Elm Hill. As a member of the Royal Society of British Artists her work is in collections around the world but Nicola always looks forward to exhibiting locally. “I live in rural Norfolk surrounded by fields and I work from imagination. I think the local environment seeps into my thoughts and emerges in my paintings and prints. This might explain why many Norfolk people and others with a country heart relate to my work and understand its visual language.”
Nature has had a lot of bad press recently with natural disasters and virus news grabbing our attention. This is an exhibition from one of Norfolk’s established artists helping to redress the balance and providing the viewer with images as antidote and reminders of some of the very best “Elements of Nature”.
Open: Monday – Saturday 10am-5pm
