Eilis Kirby - Between Something and Nothing.

About

From the poetic to the pragmatic, the insructive and the intangible to the informational, EAK aims to bring a fresh eye to the unremarkable, and to disrupt fixed lines of thought. The intelligently playful approach belies a profound underpinning of ideas, drawing together the visual, text, literature and the spoken word.

This three day exhibition follows a short residency, during which EILIS KIRBY, the sole proprietor of EAK Enterprises, has developed new work that responds to the architecture of the space, and that draws in information and ephemera collected from the surrounding neighbourhood. The response is rapid, vital and constantly changing and updating, using the overlooked and discarded, and creating an expressive and imaginative arrangement of things in a questioning and thoughtful approach to the everyday.
