About

Ed Day 1937-2009 To celebrate the talent of this highly creative artist, the exhibition will include a wide range of Ed's paintings, most of which will be for sale Ed was born on 3rd January 1937 in Strood. He attended Rochester Art School. He then won two painting scholarships to study art - the first at the Royal College of Art, London and then at Yale University in the States. Much of his career was spent in publishing, working with international publishers and overseeing a vast range of highly illustrated and beautifully designed books. However, he was always an artist at heart and spent much of his time working on his painting projects and holding exhibitions of his art. In the later part of Ed's life he moved to Wiltshire where he focused on his art, working in his studio. He held a further number of exhibitions and was working on his latest collection at the time of his sudden and unexpected death.
