The intuitively assembled images tell stories from the South. "The South is a feeling in which time does not matter," writes the freelance curator Silvia Spacchetti, "the photographer creates familiar orders of foreign places, composes images that extend beyond the moment."

About

"Where are we - in which south of the world, at what latitude? The south is more than a geographical position between spatial coordinates. The south is a feeling in which time does not matter.

During her short daily routines, the photographer Ebba Dangschat accompanies a cell phone camera whose wide, neutral view forces her to overcome the distance to things.

In the square she creates familiar orders of foreign places, composing pictures that point beyond the moment. In grouped single images stories are unfold about the South, stories about longing and finitude. "

Silvia Spacchetti

"I'm looking for pictures that look back at me from the lived moment and show me something of what has always been there and what always lasts - if my tracks have long since disappeared ..."
