Doreen Fletcher's fifth exhibition here of her ever popular paintings of the East End
About
Doreen started painting in the area in the 1980s and her work then can now be seen as a record of the time when so much of the East End that remained finally disappeared. Her work was not only a record of the built environment, but also of a community that had survived the war.
Always interested in what lies behind brightly painted facades, Doreen continues to paint the urban landscape and small shops that still exist in the area.
