For the Gallery Weekend 2019 the Dutch and the Malaysian artists Tanya Barnau Sythoff and Wei Tan will open the doors of their studio to show to Berlin their paintings: East meeting West becomes a metaphor about the history of the venue and the city but also about the divergences and connections between their style.
Tanya's works open a view from past travels and adventure in the nature with her portraits of landscape and linguistic associations.
Wei's paintings can be defined as "rooms" existing between the real and imaginary, where chairs, tables, boxes float in a sea of abstract colours and forms.
