NB: Please note this is an off-site project taking place at Five Years Gallery as part of Free School Each Teach is a Campbell Works project that invites 36 artists, to each teach a subject of their choice for 1 hour in tight rotation over 6 days within an gallery context. Taking the premise that many artists are passionate and knowledgeable about subjects outside their work ( these areas of interest sometimes inform their work but equally could be completely tangental to their practice) The Each Teach pilot project will experiment with the Each Teach framework, creating a series of micro lessons over one day at Five Years gallery on the 3rd May. Please check the Five Years link for further information about Free School: http://www.fiveyears.org.uk/ The artists need to be available to 'teach, present or perform' their subject for 30 minutes to a gallery audience. The subject can be anything they choose, but would ideally contain a participatory component, the method of delivery is up to them. What interests Taylor & Murray about the Each Teach framework is the way artists interpret the brief ( or situation ) as an artwork, as much as learning about the more private skills and interests the artists have.
