First solo show by Visual Artist & Performer Gwendolyn Kassenaar featuring her vivacious art created live on stage performing with musicians and dancers. Questioning what lies beyond the sensory experience?

About

The first solo show by Visual Artist & Performer Gwendolyn Kassenaar best known for creating  art live on stage performing with musicians and dancers. In a heightened state of consciousness, she improvises live in the moment drawing on her senses of hearing and seeing, her artistic imagination, while influenced by her chromosthesia.

But then after a performance… the art reveals a continual flow of elements moving through space, connecting, joining, moving, reconnecting, evoking the image of the infinite movement of particles in our universe, invisible to our naked human eyes. In ENIGMA Gwendolyn questions, is this what lies beyond our sensory experience? Is this the underlying nature of the present moment?

In her work the artist addresses the notion of time, the present moment versus duration, motion in space and how sound and vision come together. Expressed in her own visual language of vibrant colour and visual rhythm

Pop by to enjoy this vivacious art, feel the kinetic energy of the present moment and contemplate what lies beyond. What do you see?
