Drawing The Unconceived illustrated talk by artist printmaker Julie Leach at select connect artist network and forum presented by SIT Select and Nick Grellier
About
Julie Leach works with elemental energies, primarily the wind, to explore phenomena of transience, ephemerality and intangibility. Her practice involves facilitating 'nature as artist' to create drawings some of which are developed through etching or screen printing into works onto paper or silk. Julie plays with transparency, lightness and movement offering inferences of the state of flux of all things. She will talk about her collaboration with nature and the influence of eastern philosophy on her work.
Select connect finds Julie's work hauntingly evocative with a deep connection to this planet which goes about its business despite us.
Julie's work can be seen at RWA Bristol and has recently exhibited at Broadway Open Art, RBSA Biennial Print Prize and National Original Print Exhibition at Bankside London. She is represented by The Drugstore Gallery Somerset
