About

Taking inspiration from the portrait of father and son Harp makers and restorers, Niebisch and Tree by Lewis Hazelwood-Horner RBA, which will be on display as part of the Royal Society of British Artists 303rd Annual Exhibition, we are delighted to welcome Eleanor Dunsdon to play the Harp live in the gallery.

Eleanor was first introduced to the harp at the age of 9 when inspired by a folk music workshop with musician and composer Luke Daniels, she began lessons on the Clarsach, a traditional Celtic harp. At the University of York, she studied the more modern Pedal Harp for her BA. She now performs and teaches both these harps along with the Lever Harp.

Our Drawing Sessions are a great chance to sketch, whether you are a seasoned artist or a first-timer. Bring along your sketchbook and pencils, if you don't have any there are free drawing materials generously provided by Winsor & Newton.

If you don't fancy picking up a pencil, these events are perfect for those of you who love popping in to have an informal chat about art with other visitors and members of the Mall Galleries team.
