V&A Artist in Residence leads an experimental drawing session exploring materials and their properties.
The second of a two part drawing session led by current Artist in Residence at the V&A, Bethan Lloyd Worthington. It’s like a life drawing class, but with stuff; participants will look closely and draw raw materials. Drawing is a way of spending time with a thing, and so understanding it more deeply. In this session, we’ll draw charred wood, looking at it as tree, extinguished fire, natural artefact and weird object. Implements for this session will be charcoal - making drawings of a thing in its own matter.
Suitable for all abilities. All materials will be provided.
£25 + booking fee .
Booking essential.
