In recent years artists have re-visited drawing, and have redefined and pushed the boundaries in fresh and dynamic directions. Drawing is no longer limited to study, sketch or pencil on paper.

"For this selected exhibition I’ve chosen to show the work of artists who use drawing as a primary method. For many of them, drawing is the end result, and not merely a staging post.
There is something immediate and efficient about drawing, and most of us will at some stage ‘resort’ to drawing as a way to communicate. We will do so to enhance words by either visualising, mapping or capturing what it is we want to say. We’ll do this because drawing seems to be effective, a drawing may replace words as a way to describe the way something works (the understanding drawing), a way to describe direction, space, route or mark (the looking drawing), or as a form of narrative or subjective expression (the feeling drawing). Understanding, looking and feeling are three helpful ways to approach the selected work in Oriel Myrddin’s exhibition ‘Drawing 2015’."
