Doran - Film Posters

For the opening exhibition at Motors the artist Doran presents his latest work, Film Posters. The show comprises of eight paintings or posters, from imaginary films that are shown on the internal screen, the one inside our heads.
In this world what you experience in life and consume in the form of media; television, radio, and via computers gets mixed and mashed together. Not necessarily reflecting dreams, but whenever we allow our perception of the outside to disappear, and allow our thoughts and ideas to project, forming moving 3-D images. Doran has used an airbrush, itself a traditional tool used to paint posters before the advent of the computer, to depict posters of eight of his own very personal films.
