In conjunction with the current exhibition, The Last Analog Revolution, a Memory Box, GALERIE8 has collaborated with â¦ment to organise [Don't] All Speak at Once, a discussion on collective authorship, digital arts and social change to coincide with the launch of â¦ment journal's issue 3 entitled Fragment (on authorship).
The intention of the current exhibition at GALERIE8 is to reconsider the past and prompt a discussion on the politics of walls and borders in a wider sense. Initiators of the project, Stefan Constantinescu and Xandra Popescu, intend for viewers to reflect on the ideas of geo-political division, and the relationship between technological changes, revolution, and both personal and political divides.
The discussion will expand on the notion of borders and linear structures, looking at writing and collectivity, specific artist projects from within the realms of net art and hacktivism, and process-based curating.
Guest speakers:
Brad Butler (artist and co-founder of no.w.here)
Federico Campagna (writer and co-founder of Through Europe)
Daniel McClean (arts lawyer and curator)
Xandra Popescu (writer and co-curator of the current exhibition)
