Berlin-based dancer and choreographer Sheena McGrandles hosts Siobhan Davies Dance's latest Doing Day: PICTURE THIS.
About
This Doing Day with Sheena McGrandles is part of our regular series inviting you to experience dance and choreography through actually ‘doing’ and engaging physically with artists and their process. Absolutely no experience necessary and we welcome participants of all abilities.
Informed by a 10-year drag practice, she will navigate participants through a series of studies that move between body- and image-based practices. The group will experiment with ways of seeing and being seen through photographic and choreographic arrangements of bodies, light, colour, costume, objects and make up. With a queer eye, the workshop will look at the complexity and ambivalence of images in our lives and the effects this has on our bodies.
Please bring costumes/ clothing and make up that you might want to use in this workshop. Don’t hold back!
