Multi-media wall hangings, sculpture and creative contemporary furniture by Yelnats and Doug Jones.
Due to the explicit nature of some pieces, this exhibition is not appropriate for children.
About
Yelnats was born and raised in the East End of London and is a product of the 60’s (sex, drugs and soul music). Yelnats still remembers the wild times while the characters of the docks and surrounding industries served to influence his art. East London being a melting pot of humanity, influencing the varying genre’s of his work.
Doug Jones is the son of a Welsh coal miner. The memories of the industrial South Welsh valleys and the timber forests that fuelled them reflect in Doug’s sculptural pieces.
Worlds collided when Doug was commissioned to create artistic industrial platforms for the tree art that Yelnats was working on at the time. Their appreciation of each other’s work soon became apparent and drove their decision to join forces. They now work in tandem from their studio near Aldeburgh, producing individual pieces of art and commissions; multi media wall hangings, organic versus metal sculptures and creative contemporary furniture.
Due to the explicit nature of some pieces, this exhibition is not appropriate for children.
