This is an exhibition not to be missed. Catherine's new body of work can be seen at Guildford Cathedral in Lent 2015. Her work is both profound and beautiful, heavily influenced by the poets, it will arrest your soul.
About
Catherine's work is concerned with the emergence of images at surface, the movement of 'spirit' in paint and the ideas around alchemy. Catherine has taken these ideas and applied them to ' The Dark Night of the Soul' ( from St. John of the Cross) and ' The Return of the Spirit'.
Catherine works both as a sculptor and a painter. She studied sculpture at Central St. Martin's before becoming a student of Jean Touret, who did the altar piece in Notre Dame. She has recently finished a PhD in Fine Art/philiosophy and painting at UOAL/Surrey University.
