Artists Talk at DO GEESE SEE GOD
13 Apr 2025
Riverside Studios
London, United Kingdom
An philosophical palindrome ‘DO GEESE SEE GOD’ introduces a new exhibition by 31 members of Riverside Artists Group (RAG).
“‘do geese see god’ is a palindrome, a symmetrical word-object which reads the same backwards as forwards... playfully considered, ’do geese see god’ presents a question about what, how and who we see, what the limits to our seeing and imagining might be.” Peter Blegvad
Formed at Riverside Studios in the mid-eighties, RAG continues today as a noted West London group of professional artists. Their shows are recognised for the individuality of approaches that its members produce. To see what they present is a must for all visitors to the new building of Riverside Studios on the beautiful River Thames at Hammersmith.
Building on Michaelangelo, the show has many thoughtful pieces for our current times. It includes figurative and abstract paintings, as well as experimental and conceptual.. Using canvas, paper, print and photographs, all works are for sale unless otherwise stated. This is RAG's third exhibition at the new Riverside Studios.
Artists Talks. Many members have taught, written or lectured on art and the talks provide interaction with the artists themselves to discuss the works on show. Dates: 13th April, 11-1pm.
In addition there is RAG’s emblematic catalogue which documents the exhibition with personal insights and ideas.
For barista-style coffees, other refreshments and whole meals, the Bar and Kitchen at Riverside Studios is available.
