Over the centuries the Human Form as depicted through visual art has served many purposes: it has been a means of cultural expression or identification, a way to illustrate a narrative or communicate human experiences and, of course, to celebrate or commentate on the aesthetic quality of the human body. In this exhibition five artists present us with paintings that cover many aspects of depicting the human form. They capture emotion, narrative, beauty, sexuality and ultimately the social, global, intimate and personal ways in which we are viewed.
