“Disconnection” is a project in which David Amos explores technology and the way in which it is making us lose touch with the world.

About

Drawing inspiration from his own life, friend’s lives, and observations of the general public, David seeks to show that whilst technology allows us to be connected to, and to be part of, the larger ever expanding world, it is making us lose touch with our physical surroundings. We now spend our lives living through the lens of others, via the Internet and social media, rather than paying attention and enjoying the physical experiences around us.

David is inviting the public to come and view a collection of images, which demonstrate common examples of when technology creates a rift between us and our surroundings. This offers the opportunity to the public to reflect upon their current technology usage habits, and perhaps may even inspire them to put their devices down and spend more time appreciating the physical world they live in.
