Disappearing Landscape, an exhibition of paintings by Charlie Warde and Sound by James Torrance

A show of Paintings of Robin Hood Gardens and parts of Trellick Tower set to a soundscape by James Torrance. Warde's 3D 'plastic paintings', which are built from scratch using only ground pigments and acrylic mediums, accurately mimic specific areas of concrete from two of London's most iconic postwar buildings. Robin Hood Gardens and parts of Trellick Tower are scheduled for demolition to make way for housing that is unattainable for those for whom the original buildings were intended. As such, Warde's paintings can be seen as artefacts of the architects' initial intention - they are the remnants of a Disappearing Landscape.
