About//////Artist Opportunity: exhibit or perform at Dirty Cop Fridays at The Old Police Station, Deptford///////
Dirty Cop Friday is an arts event which takes place on the last Friday evening of every month, coinciding with the monthly late night openings at local galleries in Deptford. It takes place at The Old Police Station - DIY Art Centre and cultural headquarter for the area comprised of project spaces (PoSt Projects and Volume), galleries, an on-line radio station (OpticalRadio.net), residencies, 40 artists' studios and a café/bar.
An experimental platform for the exhibition of new work including music, film, fashion, performance and visual art, Dirty Cop Friday presents a social and informal opportunity to produce, exhibit and test within the expanding artist network of South East London.
Dirty Cop is now inviting proposals for up and coming artists to show new work in the old police cells, gallery, interview room and bar. This is an opportunity to exhibit your work, test an installation, and answer questions about your practice. There is some limited equipment such as TVs, DVD players and projector but we ask that artist proposals be as self-sufficient as possible. There are no fees for the project and the space is free to use.
All projects must be self-funded and work must be installed on the Friday afternoon and taken down the next day. In some cases it maybe be possible to exhibit all weekend. For more information about The Old Police Station and images of the spaces please visit our website: www.theoldpolicestation.org
