Exhibition
Seeing the Unseeable: Data, Design, Art
19 Sep 2024 – 15 Feb 2025
Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery
Pasadena, United States
A show that explores a future where creativity is no longer a solitary act but a dialogue between humans and machines.
The Exhibition addresses how digital tools and programming languages have affected graphic design, typography, and language. As a satellite of LACMA’s main exhibition titled Digital Witness: Revolutions in Design, Photography, and Film, which examines the broader influence of image manipulation tools, this section explores the effects and possibilities of computation, generative, and parametric processes in these fields. Participating artists are Vera Van de Seyp, Martín Azambuja, Andrea Trabucco-Campos, Allison Parrish, Michael Schmitz and Anne-Dauphine Borione (aka Daytona Mess).
Free parking is available at the parking lot in front of the building (Raymond and Glenarm)
Digital Witness: Algorithmic Spaces for Typography and Language is organized by HMCT and made possible by the generous support of the Lowell Milken Family Foundation and ArtCenter College of Design.
This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Digital Witness: Revolutions in Design, Photography, and Film, on view at LACMA from November 24, 2024, through July 13, 2025.
