Storytelling in Social Media, Fiction & News
A fun evening of talks, live DJ, and drinks featuring Jon Pratty, Mar Dixon, and Tim Maughan.

About

A fun evening of talks, live DJ, drinks and an old school Tweet Up featuring Jon Pratty, Mar Dixon, Tim Maughan.

Digital Producer and Curator Jon Pratty presents Archaeology of Social Media. Did you love Twitter 5 years ago? Come reminisce about Twitter and share your favourite Twitter memes as he explores social media past, present and maybe even future.

Digital culture champion Mar Dixon presents Smile: You’re on Camera, a discussion about why live streaming and 360 seems to be everywhere.

Author and Journalist Tim Maughan serves up Fake News and Real Fiction, an exploration through readings and short films of how the lines between his fiction and non-fiction writing can become blurred.

The event will be livestreamed and who knows, you might get your 15 minutes of fame on the night? Tweet about the night, film it, or just come enjoy it in real time.

Plus live DJ.
