About

The CERA PROJECT presents at its space in East London the second event of the Performance Program curated in collaboration with Frances Zuma Cooper titled Digital cuts in hyper reality. Tonight shares the work of two emerging, dynamic, digital female artists, Zarina Muhammad (UK/India) and Seema Mattu (UK/India). The evening offers a compelling insight into their practice as artists, writers, and activists, where their work explores critical multi-cultural issues, diverse geographical territories, and the blending of pop to political commentary into the post –internet world. In the cut, digital collages are created with vibrancy into the hyper real, where humor is seen at play alongside and against cultural complexities, full of sociological weight, to create discursive knowledge in digital spaces.

Video Program: Snakey, White Cube, Space Goddess, I hate the internet, Taal Se Taal Mila, Lage Raho, yaad piya ki aane lagi, How Fucking Transformational, Tiger style feat. Seema and Yo Yo Honey Singh, Digjihad. Followed by a live reading of the essay "Practice as Self-Care ➰" and a conversations between Zarina Muhammad and the artist /collaborator Seema Mattu.
