'(Not Quite) The Biennale' is an exhibition displaying a culmination of work from (BA) Design for Art Direction's inaugural year at London College of Communication, UAL.
About
Showcasing both finished and work-in-progress, the Copeland Gallery in Peckham will house a diversity of projects including video, posters, sculpture, publications, as well as a live set pertaining to the open brief: 'In (Y)+our Image: Worlds in Progress'. The exhibition reflects the experimental nature of a class exploring and defining the changing boundaries of being an art director in the 21st century.
Amongst the work is a distorted 3D digital-patchwork of gender-neutral bodies, the unseen gestural language of sweat shop production, a fluid hybridisation of the future home, and non-hierarchical education methods.
The Private view is on Wednesday, 8th June from 18-20, at Copeland Gallery (113 Copeland Road SE15 3SN). Entrance on Rye Lane.
