Developing a Creative Photography Project with Eva Kalpadaki

About

Move your skills up a notch by learning how to develop a photographic project. Be guided step by step on how to realise an initial idea through to digital printing and exhibiting. This course is suitable for amateur and professional photographers, foundation students, artists who use photography in their work, and collaborative groups. There may also be an opportunity to exhibit work made during the course. Costs: £100 Seven Wednesdays Times: 6:30pm — 9:30pm Autumn Dates: 9th October — 20th November 2013 Room: Green Room Maximum: 7 Eva Kalpadaki Eva was born in Greece. After she was awarded a Greek State Foundation scholarship she moved to UK to complete a PhD in Arts and Communication at UCA. She is a qualified teacher holding a PGCE teaching certificate from the University of Brighton. She is currently based in Brighton working as a fine art photographer and photography tutor. In her artistic practice she is not using the photographic medium to produce a record and a document of the world, which is what we usually expect to see in a photograph. She is using it to question the nature of photography and to cause a tension in what we are looking at. She is playing between representation and abstraction. She was selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 exhibition among numerous solo and group shows.http://www.playingandreality.co.uk/
