Businesspeople and practitioners in fashion and the creative industries are invited to take part in a series of workshops exploring the impact of Brexit on their sector.
About
Each workshop will feature talks from leading academics, designers and entrepreneurs, a participative workshop and a panel discussion, followed by networking drinks. Design and Brexit - Creative & Cultural Industries will look closely at the process of transnational networking and collaboration across a range of sectors including design, architecture, education and digital design, using case studies from existing European projects involving Dutch and British partners, as well as looking at Dutch projects with partners outside the EU that might offer some lessons for the post-Brexit environment. Speakers will include hotel entrepreneur Suzanne Oxenaar, Professor José Teunissen, Dean of the School of Design and Technology at London College of Fashion and Nicola Mullenger of the European Cultural Foundation.
Both workshops will be facilitated by writer, curator and cultural initiator Ken Pratt who is currently working with a start-up developing travel app Pearlshare.
