Join us on the Saturday 4th August for a 'Den Building' Workshop run by artist and workshop facilitator Matilda Glen.
The workshop aims to explore the concept of belonging and shelter; using something as simple as the act of 'den' building to consider what is considered a home. The workshop is free to attend and will be run in two sessions. You are welcome to attend one or both of these.
Session One
11am-1pm: Creating the structures, playing with materials as a large group den or a series of smaller dens to make up one whole.
1pm-2pm: Break for lunch.
Session Two
2pm-3pm: Decorating the dens to transform it from a shelter into a home. Participants will be asked to think what home means to them and to write, paint or draw inspiring images, words or phrases onto the dens.
Refreshments will be served during the event with tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks.
We will be taking photographs during the event and we will have parental consent forms to be signed on arrival. If you do not wish for your child to be photographer then that is OK just let a volunteer know and we will ensure they are not in any pictures we take.
