About
James McLernon is focused on the unknown and the paranormal. His sculptures and paintings lead the viewer to many separate narratives due to his use of traditional and contemporary forms with no dominant culture. The artist’s most public presentation in the UK will be on show at The Take Courage Gallery this spring.Demon Of Sunday is a new work comprising of 17 paintings and three sculptures which draws inspiration from the practice of therapeutic art and delivers an exploration into the depths of the human condition.
Through artist-led interviews or self-reflective exercises, these works provide open representation of the struggles that we as people often fail to express. A series of interconnected scaled works, tiered stages, and a visually-striking large canvas, Demons Of Sunday will take visitors on an emotional journey for their own self-meditative desires.
