Travel Information

  • the nearest stop is Town Hall (Clarence Street). You can reach us by bus from Cardiff, Newport, Abergavenny, Blackwood, Brynmawr, Blaenavon & Cwmbran with one or no changes. Train and bus times and changes can be found on Traveline Cymru
  • the nearest train station is Pontypool & New Inn, which is about a 20-minute (through the park) walk from the gallery, there are buses to and from town about every 10 minutes. It takes about 30 minutes from Cardiff Central. you may have to change at Newport for some services. There is also a direct train from Newport.

"deep place" is an exhibition by Gail Howard and Helen Clifford from madeinroath created for the*kickplate*project's 76m2 gallery in Pontypool, Wales.


"deep place" has been created for the*kickplate*project's 76m2 gallery by madeinroath artists Gail Howard and Helen Clifford.

it is a site-specific installation with elements of performance, drawing upon the rites of spring, May Day traditions and International Workers' Day.

the exhibition opens on Tuesday the 25th of April in 76m2 and will run until the 13th of May, Tuesday to Saturday, 11 to 6, with a special event on Monday the 1st of May.
