death: is it your right to choose? is a unique and emotive installation that depicts a room at the Dignitas flat in Switzerland, supported through funding from the Wellcome Trust.

About

death: is it your right to choose? is intended to encourage debate and discussion around end of life choices during a time when end of life laws and guidance are undergoing scrutiny.

The reproduction of the room will be surrounded by displays relating to the wider spectrum of opinions on Assisted Dying including many personal testimonies.

Visitors to the installation will be encouraged to explore their own feelings on the subject, guided by medical, ethical, philosophical and emotive elements, before giving their response on whether assisted dying be made legal in the UK.

The installation will work as a complementary display alongside death: the human experience –Bristol Museum & Art Gallery’s major winter exhibition and the Bristol Record Office’s Documenting Death exhibition.
