Dead and Buried is a visionary research project between an academic researcher who specialises in the sociology and anthropology of death and dying and a community arts group. The project gives a group of young people (not in education, employment or training) the opportunity to work alongside Dr Hannah Rumble, from Bath University's Centre for Death and Society and Charlotte Chapman, a facilitator from Kumiko Community Arts, to engage in a participatory arts project exploring natural burial.
The Dead and Buried exhibition at Centrespace will journey a series of creative responses by the young people as they are introduced to two natural burial sites in Bristol. The exhibition will reveal and examine their critically engaged reactions created through varied media in a subject that is often deemed unmentionable.
Private View: Friday 12th 6pm 9pm
