De Profundis - Film Festival

Surface Gallery are now seeking submissions from independent filmmakers to be screened at De Profundis film festival, which will be held once a week between mid November to mid December 2009. Each evening we include a selection of the independent short films followed by a main commercial release film. Both the short and commercial releases will embody this season's festival theme which is European Cinema. The independent filmmaker may interpret cultural &/or political identities in a number of ways through story or documentary narrative, and the films may reflect a particular European country or Europe as a whole. We are looking for narrative based cinema in the format of short film that last between 5 and 30 minutes. Deadline for applications is ongoing as all submissions could be allocated for future film festivals, though as this is our first for some time, we need as many as possible by November 10th 2009.
