David Newton's work consists of a series of paintings which deal with themes of visual perception and interpretation, originality and repetition. The work merges the uniform and imposing physicality of PAD's new location of Market Square with images intuitively chosen and merged with the various architectural backdrops and vistas the square provides, creating a lyrical cohesion between the separate paintings. Viewed as a whole they will represent a kaleidoscopic journey merging the architectural physicality of pads location with an intuitive and surreal response to the same location.
