David Hockney: Ways of Working
About
An important contributor to the pop art movement of the 1960s, David Hockney is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. This exhibition takes an in-depth look at Hockney’s ingenious exploration of a diverse range of media, spanning six decades of creative output.
Tracing the artist’s practice, the display includes photographs of Hockney seen working in his studio, with several images that relate to specific works in the exhibition. In addition, it introduces a never-seen-before 14-page letter where Hockney himself describes his work processes.
