Daniel Haskett is an illustrator and screenprinter from London who found his roots in Berlin in 2009. He has worked for clients including The Guardian, The NY Times and Psychologie Heute and is part of the SDW screenprinting collective in Kreuzberg where he creates his limited edition prints and regularly gives workshops. “A Squeak in the Hawthorn” is a collection of his digital and screenprinted works that take their influence from mid 20th century printmakers, street photographers and literature. A restrained colour palette alongside lone characters watching the world go by are a hallmark of his unassuming style. 
For the opening vernissage at Let it Bleed Daniel and friends will be playing music from an upcoming mix with the same title as the exhibition, creating a soundtrack to contemplate the art works on display.

Daniel Haskett ist ein Illustrator und Siebdrucker aus London, der 2009 seine Wurzeln in Berlin gefunden hat. Er hat für Kunden wie The Guardian, The NY Times und Psychologie Heute gearbeitet und ist Teil des SDW-Siebdruckkollektivs in Kreuzberg, wo er seine Drucke in limitierter Auflage herstellt und regelmäßig Workshops gibt. "A Squeak in the Hawthorn" ist eine Sammlung seiner Digital- und Siebdruckarbeiten, die von Straßenfotografen und der Literatur aus der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts beeinflusst sind. Eine zurückhaltende Farbpalette und einsame Figuren, die die Welt beobachten, sind ein Markenzeichen seines unaufdringlichen Stils. 
Zur Vernissage spielen Daniel und seine Freunde Musik aus einem neuen Mix, der den gleichen Titel wie die Ausstellung trägt und einen Soundtrack zur Betrachtung der ausgestellten Kunstwerke bietet.
