Curator Kyli Kleven welcomes dancers Marissa Perel, Ayano Elson, and Millie Kapp to Roulette’s stage for the second of three lec/dem performance nights.
Choreographer and designer Ayano Elson presents Spatial Concept Study: Part B. Working with artist Lucio Fontana’s theory of spatialism, performers Elson and Rachel Pritzlaff labor through a field of red to create a self-conscious and disruptive new color. This duet is intended as a work-in-progress, created especially for the unique space of Roulette.
Millie Kapp’s lecture will focus on dance and dyslexia, making visible the process of moving backwards as a viable mode of traveling. Kapp will be joined by Noah Furman and Jess Goldschmidt.
