About
Through the mediums of moving image and photography, Jacobs works with themes of the physical human form; the obscured; and the less frequented underside of life.Jacobs is an artist and educator living and working in Leeds. Jacobs’ personal interest in sustainability is an important aspect of her practice and she is currently exploring alternative photographic processes and researching waste reduction in analogue photography using fungi.
The works on display are cyanotypes, one of the oldest photographic printing processes. The distinctive cyan blue is created by controlled exposure to ultraviolet and blue light spectrums.
