Join The Darkroom at Beach Creative for a drop-in cyanotype workshop!

Sunday 7th July - 11am-3pm Drop In

Suitable for age: 3+

This workshop is perfect for children and young adults who have an interest in print making, photography and art in general! No experience necessary!

Create some beach themed cyanotype prints using items collected from the beach!

What is a Cyanotype?

A cyanotype is also known as a 'sunprint'. A cyanotype is a cameraless photographic process, using UV sensitive paper, the sunshine and objects! It's an instant process making it perfect for kids to gain an understanding of how important light is to photography.

Each participant will create a cyanotype print on either fabric or on paper.

Level of experience

No previous experience is required

What is provided?

Cyanotype paper, objects

What do the participants need to bring along?

Feel free to bring your own objects along!

Ideas for objects are:

• Lego pieces
• Flowers/Plants
• Feathers
• Large buttons
• Items found on the beach
• Jigsaw pieces

The Darkroom at Beach Creative has a full DBS certificate & Public Liability insurance.

What is the cost?

This particular workshop session is FREE to the public as it is funded by Herne Bay Creates.
