About
See who's on the bill for our January show:
Kathryn Higgins - MC
For our January event, we will be joined by the brilliant Kathryn Higgins who will be guest hosting the event, taking over for the night from our resident host Jasmin Gleeson.
Kathryn is an Irish comedian, MC and improviser - a powerhouse combination of Irish charm and cutting wit. An anecdotal and bold - but friendly - comic, she has recently supported Rosie Jones on her sold-out tour.
She made her TV debut on both BBC One and BBC Three as part of the BBC New Comedy Awards. She is also featured on NextUp as part of Circuit Breakers at Leicester Comedy Festival 2022, as well as being a New Acts of the Year Showcase finalist in 2022. She is resident MC at 2Northdown's £2 Tuesday and Hot Gossip, a women and non-binary night in Walthamstow.
Rosie Jones - "Kathryn is such a funny, funny lady on and off stage. She’s one of the most talented MCs I’ve seen in a long time."
Kiri Pritchard-McLean - "So funny, she's obviously going to make someone millions."
Sindhu Vee - headlining
Sindhu Vee is an award-winning comedian, writer and actor.
As seen and heard on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, The Tez O’Clock Show, QI and The Guilty Feminist podcast.
Dee Allum
Dee Allum is a transgender comedian, and the second LGBT person to come out of Watford after Elton John. Dee is an award-winning stand-up comedian and writer.
In the last two years she has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards, placed as runner-up in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year award 2021, won the 2Northdown New Act Competition 2021, and was a finalist in the 2022 BBC New Comedy Award competition.
James Trickey
James Trickey is a rising comedian hailed as “naturally hilarious” (Edfringe review). With a sharp mind and a distinct take on life, he crafts a blend of silly gags and uproarious stories.
Performing across the UK and at numerous festivals, James was the Chortle Student Comedy Award runner-up in 2018 and recently earned a spot on the shortlist for the esteemed BBC New Comedy Award. Chortle raves about his “magnificent” writing skills. Don’t miss the chance to witness James Trickey’s comedic brilliance that’s taking the stage by storm.
