Cuttings is a collection of collaborative work by artist Sarah May and photographer Annie Collinge. The book is the culmination of a five-year series of experiments with a variety of materials, including fabric, papers, photography, collage and hand-drawn imagery.

About

The launch night at Doomed Gallery on the 4th of February 2016 will include a central installation conceived as a 3D representation of the project.

The Cuttings Book is a limited edition hardback made up of photographic prints and comes in a presentation box. Each book is signed and numbered and comes with a pack of specially designed stickers to customise the central pages.

Sarah May is a London-based artist and set designer. Her studio was established in 2007 and she works internationally for an extensive client list including British Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Centrefold, Camper, Nike, American Apparel and Paul Smith. She also works as an Associate Lecturer at the London College of Fashion.

Annie Collinge is a New York and London-based photographer who studied at Central St Martins and Brighton University.  She has worked and exhibited throughout Europe and the US. In 2013 her exhibition titled The Underwater Mermaid Theatre was shown at the Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans.  In 2015 she launched her publication Five Inches of Limbo which paired photographs she took of junk store dolls and strangers she met on the streets of New York. Published work includes Vice, Dazed, British Vogue, Nowness, Wired and Paper Magazine.
